SBAC-PAD is an annual international conference series, the first of which was held in 1987. Each conference has traditionally presented new developments in high performance applications, as well as the latest trends in computer architecture and parallel and distributed technologies. The conference has strong international participation, with submissions typically comming from over a dozen countries. The selection process is competitive, with acceptance rate below 30% in recent years.

In 2011, the symposium will be held in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil. Vitória is the capital of the Espírito Santo State. It was founded by the Portuguese in 1535 and it is located in a small island within a bay. Surrounded by green hills and beautiful tropical beaches, Vitória is a preferred tourism destination in Brazil. SBAC-PAD 2011 will be hosted by Federal University of Espírito Santo.

For further information please check the web site. SBAC-PAD 2011 will be sponsored by the Brazilian Computer Society, the IEEE Computer Society through the Technical Committees on Computer Architecture (TCCA) and Scalable Computing (TCSC), and IFIP.

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts on a wide range of high-performance computing areas, including computer architecture, systems software, languages and compilers, algorithms, and applications.
